SAF Solutions continue their long-term partnership with Bariatric sales and rental company Benmor Medical, assisting them with procurement solutions for the ongoing expansion of their portfolio of rental products.

Client Brief:

Specialist bariatric equipment providers, Benmor Medical work with NHS and community healthcare providers to provide beds, slings, hoists, wheelchairs, and furniture via short and long-term rental agreements.

Benmor’s range of equipment is dedicated to improving patient care and maintaining safety for healthcare professionals.

SAF has worked with Benmor for the past seven years, supporting them in the purchase of over 120 bariatric products through flexible finance to help enhance both their service provision and product profitability.

The bariatric hire market is a growth area in the healthcare sector, one Benmor Medical is well positioned to service. SAF Solutions were introduced to Benmor Medical through our close relationship with supplier Hill-Rom, and our proactive approach to business and high service levels have resulted in a succession of purchases via SAF Solutions.

SAF’s Solution:

SAF worked closely with the team at Benmor Medical to understand the nuances of their product portfolio and client base, structuring a finance option that enabled them to maximise their return on investment. SAF introduced a time-efficient, and cost-effective finance solution that would allow Benmor Medical to quickly respond to the changing demand of its customer base by procuring equipment via a bespoke finance agreement.

SAF’s proposed solution would eradicate the need for significant capital outlay, instead providing Benmor Medical with a solution that would enable them to defer any expenditure until such time as the assets purchased were in their possession and ready to generate income, covering the cost of finance and providing a positive cashflow benefit.

SAF’s close working relationship with the Benmor Medical management team, has gone from strength to strength over the past seven years, our role is to not only create the ‘right’ solution for the client, but also make the process as efficient as possible. In doing so we are able to facilitate the client’s continuing growth and help them better service their customer base.

Recent global supply chain issues have seen lead times for products grow to such an extent that some customers may not see income generated from their purchase for several months. SAF’s solution offers an alternative to outright purchase, providing better cashflow benefits and allow them to invest their capital in other areas of the business.

Benmor’s equipment supplier in this instance, Caremed Alrick, was sufficiently impressed with SAF’s role in this transaction, to have now formally partnered with SAF to offer other customers the option of procuring their range of equipment via a tailored finance solution.

SAF was able to work with Benmor Medical and, by extension, the company’s supplier Caremed Alrick to introduce a highly effective finance solution that offers an alternative procurement pathway allowing the company to be more agile in response to their customer base.
